Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15/10/2026
OVERVIEW
At a glance
- Our website uses cookies to run properly, understand how it is used, and — with your consent — to help us reach and communicate with prospective customers.
- You control which cookies we set. The cookie banner on your first visit lets you accept all, reject all, or choose category by category. You can change your choice at any time via the banner or by writing to info@machineslikeme.com.
- We categorize cookies into three groups, the same as in our cookie banner: strictly necessary, analytics and marketing.
- We do not sell data collected through cookies.
OVERVIEW
What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, tablet) so that it can recognize you on future visits or during the same session. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
We also use similar technologies including local storage, session storage, pixels, and tags. For the purposes of this policy, we refer to all of them collectively as "cookies".
CATEGORIES
Cookie categories we use
We group cookies by their purpose and by the level of consent required.
Strictly necessary
Essential for the site to work — for example, to remember your consent choice. They are set automatically and cannot be switched off in our systems. Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG (no consent required) in combination with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use our site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, where they come from. This information is aggregated and helps us improve the site. Legal basis: § 25(1) TDDDG (consent required) in combination with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Marketing
Allow us to reach and communicate with prospective customers through advertising and to measure whether our campaigns are working. Legal basis: § 25(1) TDDDG (consent required) in combination with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
MLM's business is enterprise B2B. We do not run consumer advertising campaigns. Marketing cookies on our site are limited to what our CRM (HubSpot) and our advertising measurement (Google Ads, LinkedIn) require to attribute enterprise inbound activity.

LEGAL BASIS & TRANSFERS
Legal basis
Two legal regimes apply in parallel to cookies. Storing information on, or accessing information already stored on, your device is governed by § 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The exceptions in § 25(2) TDDDG cover storage or access solely for transmitting a communication over a public telecommunications network, or where strictly necessary to provide a digital service you have expressly requested. Otherwise, prior consent is required under § 25(1) TDDDG. This assessment also applies to similar technologies, even if they do not set cookies. Any subsequent processing of the personal data obtained is governed by the GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
LEGAL BASIS & TRANSFERS
International transfers
Some of the third-party providers listed above are located outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the United States. Where cookie-related personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on European Commission adequacy decisions where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Your rights
The rights you have with respect to any personal data collected through cookies — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority — are set out in our Privacy Policy.
