Autonomous, in the hands of your people.

Why operator experience matters

The difference between an agent that runs and an agent that runs right.

Autonomous operations require humans in specific roles: reviewers, escalation handlers, business-rule owners. If the tools aren’t there on day one, the agent slips out of governance and the pilot never scales.

Without a purpose-built operator surface

  • Reviewers see the outcome — not the reasoning
  • HITL becomes a spreadsheet, not a workflow
  • Escalations get lost across channels
  • Business rules drift from what the agent actually does
  • Every incident triggers a manual archaeology exercise

With our operator experience

  • Reviewers see the decision in its context
  • HITL is a workflow — approve, reject, correct, override
  • Escalations route by rule, per operation
  • Business rules and agent behavior stay in lockstep
  • Incidents are reconstructable — decision by decision

The operator surface

An operator surface, scoped per deployment.

Every Machines Like Me deployment includes the operator tooling its process requires, designed at kickoff, alongside the agent. No shared multi-tenant surface. No SaaS admin panel. The tooling lives inside your environment, next to the agent. These are the building blocks a deployment draws from, what ships is declared per engagement.

  • Decision review

Agent decisions surface in a review queue with the context a reviewer needs: the inputs, the recommended action, and where the deployment declares it, the reasoning and confidence behind it. Approve, reject or correct, per operation.

  • Live observability

Real-time view of what the agent is doing right now. Throughput, escalation rate, latency, error signals. Not for compliance dashboards, for day-to-day operators.

  • Business rule configuration

Confidence thresholds, escalation triggers and approval workflows are configurable per agent, per operation. Where the deployment calls for it, rules are exposed to business owners directly, tunable without a code change.

  • Audit search

Any decision, any time, searchable and reconstructable. Not just “what did the agent do?” — “why did it decide that?”

Drift monitor

No drift detected

Alerts fire on drift before it becomes an incident.

Illustrative: the operator surface is scoped and declared per deployment.

Running the operation

Oversight, runbooks and observability, in your team’s hands.

  1. Human oversight is a workflow, not a checkbox

Confidence thresholds route work to reviewers automatically. Reviewers see the decision in context (inputs, recommended action, reasoning) and approve, reject, correct or override in one surface. High-impact decisions route to designated approvers, and every correction feeds the agent’s calibration. Governed by the Envelope →

  2. Runbooks live with the agent, not after it

Every deployment ships with documented procedures for exceptions, escalations and recovery paths, versioned alongside the agent code, updated through review, and verified against the agent’s actual behavior. Operators never guess.

  3. Every operator can see it running

Throughput, escalation rate and drift, live, in operator language, from the first call. Alerts fire before drift becomes an incident, and every incident is reconstructable decision by decision.

Concrete evidence

Every deployment declares its operator surface.

Not a feature list. A design decision, scoped with your operators in the project specification before go-live, live from the first decision.
